Hello! How can we help you?

Why is one front wheel on the Veloped higher than the other?

This is normal. The Veloped's front Climbing Wheel has two settings, and in the easy-steering setting one front wheel is lifted slightly so that only one of the two front wheels touches the ground.

Setting A – one front wheel on the ground: easy steering

The Veloped is very easy to steer and still climbs kerbs and obstacles well. This setting works both in town and in terrain, for example on gravel and forest paths.

Setting B – both front wheels on the ground: directional stability

Both front wheels touch the ground. The Veloped runs straighter, which suits for example running, but it is much harder to steer – especially on tarmac.

How to change the setting

  1. Lift the left front wheel with your left hand – otherwise the adjuster will not lock in the lower position.
  2. Pull out the red knob.
  3. Push the adjustment arm all the way to the bottom.
  4. Release the red knob so that it locks.

You can see how it is done in our Veloped videos.

Front wheel stuck or damaged?

  • If a front wheel is hard to remove, spray the quick-release axle with WD-40, press the button repeatedly to work the oil in, then apply a thin layer of grease to protect it.
  • If the rubber damper in the Climbing Wheel is broken, order a new Rubber Damper for Veloped Climbing Wheel – an inexpensive spare part.
  • For anything else, for example if the wheel won't lock back in place, send a photo to support@trionic.com.
