Will health insurance or an allowance cover the cost of a Trionic?
It depends on your country and your insurer. Trionic sells directly to customers, so in most countries you pay for the rollator yourself and then ask your insurer or allowance provider whether they will reimburse you. We are happy to provide a receipt or a cost estimate (quote) for your application – email support@trionic.com.
All Trionic Walker and Veloped models are tested to the European standard for rollators (ISO 11199) and registered in the EU as class 1 medical devices. Some insurers only pay for aids that have a national aid number or that are supplied by a medical supply store they have a contract with, so please check with your insurer before you order.
USA
A Trionic is a cash purchase: we do not bill Medicare, Medicaid or private health insurers. You receive a receipt with your order that you can submit to your insurer yourself; whether they reimburse anything is their decision. Trionic is an approved vendor with the VA (Veterans Affairs).
Germany
Trionic cannot accept prescriptions or bill the Krankenkasse. Request a cost estimate (Kostenvoranschlag) from us and apply yourself – see Will German health insurance (Krankenkasse) pay for a Trionic?
