Why is one front wheel on the Veloped higher than the other?

One of the front wheels on the Veloped is lifted when it is in city mode. An adjustment handle on the front wheel (between the wheels) can be shifted between two settings.

Upper position:
Offers easy turning with retained climbing capacity.

When the wheel is lifted, the lever is in the lower position making one of the wheels higher than the other. It still offers good climbing capability where it can easily overcome an obstacle. In the lifted mode, it is easy to steer.

Lower position:
Offers increased climbing capacity, suspension on uneven surfaces and higher directional stability. The downside is that it might be harder to steer the Veloped, especially evident on the tarmac.

  • Trionic Walker, a great device!!!…

Just a great device, the 'Trionic Walker', which I ordered the end of June 2015 in Uppsala. Two days later, the Walker was already there. Due to a herniated disc which I had suffered in a fall from a bicycle, walking was always more difficult because…

  • Better than any other…

At last, a walker that does not get stuck at the slightest edge, with large, very stable tyres that allow it to cope very well with uneven roads, and even curbs or small steps are no problem. With a standard walker with small hard rubber wheels, thos…

  • Great product…

This is my 2nd Trionic rollator. Bought my 1st in 7/2018, a 12er. Decided I needed to stand taller, as I’m 6’3”, and the larger wheels of the 14er makes it a bit taller, plus they take the outdoor bumps and obstacles a little bit better than the 12 …

  • Totally satisfied…

The Veloped Trek is simply great. It climbs up the kerbs effortlessly and runs perfectly off-road. This is important for me because we have 2 dogs and therefore we also walk in the forest and field.

It's super easy to use as well as to adjust the …

  • I know I have gained a lifetime of freedom.…

I am a twenty six year old woman, born with a mild spastic tetraparesis (a lighter form of cerebral palsy). It affects both my hands and legs: despite years of physiotherapy, I was only able to walk arm in arm with a carer. I found out about Trionic …

  • Good Chunky Lock…

Bought this to chain up the walker on those occasions when I can't get the walker into a cafe or shop.
Solid construction and so far has proved secure for my needs.…

  • Walking out is FUN again !!…

A beautifully designed and engineered product, and being so robust gives so much more confidence in comparison to lesser competitors. After a few months of lockdown, I can now get the exercise I need - and really enjoying it.

    Thank You for such an…

  • The people a Veloped have been patient…

The people a Veloped have been patient, kind and thorough throughout the process of deciding which one to buy and then starting to use it. I cannot rate them highly enough! And the machine is excellent. No adverse comments at all; just what I wanted …

  • Velopad is the freedom to go anywhere and everywhere at anytime.…

The Velopad Sport 14er is a transformative experience. Drives like a car with incredible suspension. I took it through a country lane around the roughest area in terms of the pedestrian environment in my home city. The “Rafa terminator” performed lik…
