The Veloped has a unique 3-wheel design, but as you can see it has in fact four wheels. It’s aimed to be used as a walking aid, especially for people with the desire to be physically active outdoors. Developed with a focus on walking and facilitating access for the user, the Veloped is one of a kind. Its main characteristic is a dual front wheel with the capacity to overcome obstacles up to 15 cm high (14" wheels). The force required to overcome a smaller obstacle is also greatly reduced, when compared to a traditional wheel. The 3-wheel design, coupled with the front wheel’s suspension and the air-filled tyres, increases both comfort and accessibility on all uneven surfaces.
The Veloped is tested and approved according to the international standard ISO-11199-2:2005, for a maximum user weight of 150 kg.

Safety〈〈
- Both brakes should be locked in parking mode before you use the seat.
- Before you start walking with the Veloped, make sure it’s completely unfolded.
- Be extra careful in steep terrain and on slanting ground.
- The stability of the Veloped is tested with a basket load of 5 kg. If you load additional weight to the basket, make sure to distribute the weight evenly in the basket.
Correct Grip Height〈〈

How to set the correct height of your Veloped
Many rollator users set the grips too high, thinking that it will promote a more upright posture. But this actually worsens the posture, and it affects the stability negatively.
You can determine the correct Veloped grip height by doing as follows, as recommended by all physiotherapists and all rollator manufacturers:
- Stand upright with your back as straight as possible, with your shoes on and with your arms hanging in a relaxed state along your body (elbow slightly bent).
- Measure the vertical distance from the floor to the wrist bone = recommended grip height.
With the grips at wrist height:
- You do not have to raise your shoulders, and you can unload a greater part of your body weight.
- You can walk closer to the hand grips, which results in a more upright body posture.
- A more vertical weight distribution (downwards) improves both the stability and the brake performance.
First Time Use〈〈

1. Attach the rear wheels to the frame’s rear axle holes by pressing the black button in the centre of the wheel and then pushing the axle all the way into the axle hole. Release the push button.

2. Check that the wheels are properly attached by pulling/pushing them sideways.

3. Attach the front wheel suspension to the front bottom end of the frame in the same manner, i.e. press the black button at the bottom of the axle and press the axle into the axel hole from underneath. Release the push button.
4. Check that the front wheel is securely fastened by lifting the frame from the surface and pulling the front wheel downwards.
5. Open the quick-release levers and adjust the grip height as described in the chapter “Correct Grip Height”.
Walking Mode 〈〈

Unfold the Veloped by pulling the gripbar handles sideways, away from each other.

Check that the Veloped locks in walking mode; when unfolding it make sure you hear a click from the telescopic stay locking into position.

The seat can be slid forward and rearward. Push it forward to obtain maximum walking space.
Before using the seat, reaching the basket or folding the Veloped, pull the seat rearwards.
Folding the Veloped 〈〈

Pull the seat to the rear.

Press the button on the right of the telescopic stay.
While holding the button pushed, lift the right or the left hand grip a little and fold the frame halfways.

Press the other button on the left of the telescopic stay.

While holding the button pushed, lift the right or the left hand grip a little and fold the frame completely together.
Parking Brake 〈〈
You can engage the parking brake in 3 different ways.
Option 1: Push the lower red parking trigger downwards with your index finger, while you pull the brake lever at the same time. Make sure that the parking brake is engaged, and that the Veloped does not move.
Option 2: Pull the upper red parking trigger rearwards with your thumb, while you pull the brake lever at the same time. Make sure that the parking brake is engaged.
Option 3: Use both hands. Pull the upper red parking trigger rearwards with one hand, while you pull the brake lever with your other hand. Make sure that the parking brake is engaged.
To release the parking brake, brake in the same manner as for using the motion brake.
Grip Height Adjustment 〈〈

Release both quick-release levers by folding them outwards.
Adjust the grips to the suggested height, the most adequate being the vertical distance from the wrist to the ground when standing with the arms hanging freely. Use help to measure!

NOTE: The easiest way to adjust the gripbar is when sitting on the seat, this way you can see the height indication marks clearly, thus simplifying height adjustment.

Lock both quick-release levers by folding them inwards.

NOTE! Do not operate the quick-release levers like wing nuts or screws. The quick-release levers can be replaced with screws and nuts if there is a risk that the user accidentally releases the levers while using the Veloped.
Grip Angle Adjustment 〈〈
The angle of the grips can be adjusted so that you get a comfortable hand position and an optimal support.

1. Loosen the screw on the rear end of the grip with a 4 mm Allen key.

2. Turn/rotate the grip to your chosen angle.

3. Tighten the screw on the rear end of the grip with a 4 mm allen key.
Brake Adjustment 〈〈

1. If the brakes work poorly, loosen the adjustment screw on each brake lever (counter-clockwise) and lock it in position by screwing the lock-nut towards the handle (clockwise).

Contact your retailer, or the person responsible for servicing your Trionic Veloped, if the brakes still work poorly.
Removing/Installing the Rear Wheels 〈〈
The rear wheels are removable to simplify transportation of the Veloped.

To remove the wheel, press the black button at the centre of the wheel and pull the wheel off.

To attach the wheel, press the black button at the centre of the wheel and push the wheel axle into the axle hole. Release the button when the wheel is in its end position.
Hold the tyre and push/pull the wheel back and forth laterally to check if the wheel is properly secured.
Removing/Installing the Front Wheel 〈〈
The front wheel suspension is removable to simplify transportation of the Veloped.

Press the black button under the front hinge to release the front wheel suspension.

To remove the entire wheel suspension, lift the front end of the frame while pulling the wheel suspension downwards.

To install the front wheel suspension, lift the front end of the frame, press the black button and push the wheel axle into the axle hole placed under the frame. Release the black push button.
Change Front Wheel Setting: Easy-steering mode/Lower position:/Direction-steady mode/Upper position: 〈〈
The wheel has two different settings: one for easy steering and one for direction-steady mode. There is an adjustment handle on the front wheel, placed between the wheels, that can be shifted between these two settings.
Easy-steering mode/Lower position::
Offers easy turning with retained climbing capacity.
Direction-steady mode/Upper position::
Offers increased climbing capacity, suspension on uneven surfaces and a higher directional stability. The Veloped is more difficult to steer, but it performs better off-road.

Turn the front wheel 180 degrees for easier access to the adjustment handle.

1.Grab the left wheel with your left hand and lift the Veloped front end slightly off the ground.
2. While holding the Veloped lifted with your left hand, grab the red knob with your right hand, and pull it outwards (towards you).
3. Slide the adjustor (right hand) either downwards or upwards. It is important that you slide the adjustor to its very bottom or upper end position.
4. Release the red knob, and it will spring back and lock the front wheel to your chosen setting.
Removing/Attaching the basket 〈〈
The basket of the Trionic Veloped has a 22-litre loading capacity. It has a small zippered pocket at the rear end for valuables and smaller objects. The Veloped basket is removable, and is attached to the frame basket rails with three velcro sections.

1. Wrap the rear velcro flaps around the rails from underneath, between the frame and the basket rail. Fold them inwards and fix the velcro sections on the inner of the basket lining.

2. Attach the front velcro flap in the same manner.
3. If necessary, adjust the velcro sections to ensure that the basket is properly fastened.
NOTE! Make sure to insert the plastic plate into the bottom sleeve of the basket before attaching the basket to the frame.
Removing/Installing the Seat 〈〈
The Veloped’s sliding seat is comprised of a seat base and a removable cover fixed with nine push buttons.

1. Hold the seat cover with the text Trionic to the right. Wrap the long flap between the telescopic stay and the seat base.

2. Attach the three front push buttons of the long flap to the seat base.

3. Press the three push buttons on the short flap onto the seat base.

4. Finally, press the three last push buttons of the long flap onto the short flap.

Customer Reviews
So, we returned it. But Trionic handled the return quickly and efficiently. Thanks.
Incidentally, my ophthalmologist wanted to see the Veloped for himself (as there is never any shortage of patient requests) and was thrilled!
This real all-terrain rollator gives back to our 98-year-old father the mobility he had 2 years ago, before his hip operation.
Really all-terrain, no more worrying about pine cones or roots on the paths, even works "right through the forest" (with a little assistance).
If only we had known about this product earlier...
Because of the solidity of the construction and material, our generation will still be able to use it - that's true sustainability!
I broke my back nearly two years ago . I also have polymyalgia, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and liver disease so was quite inactive even before then.
I am still building up my stamina, but can now walk further than I have done for ages, and as long as I concentrate, my posture improves too.
The quality of the construction is really excellent, and that was apparent the moment I opened the boxes. Beautifully made, these two machines reflect the enormous amount of thought and care that has gone into the design. They will both get well and truly used over this weekend.
These packages were only despatched from your premises yesterday, and I received them both this afternoon. From what I can see, they travelled via Denmark to England and were on the delivery van mid-morning.
I will be in touch after that to let you know how they were for me.
To be updated!
I have just attended a steam fair, held in a rutted field, and the 14in wheels and easy steering coped admirably, gave me a handy seat for watching the displays and it received many admirers. Being Swedish has to be admired. I have driven a Volvo for many years and it fits well in the boot, in the fully folded position, without a problem.
Any normal walker the wheels are too small and falter at any obstacle sending me off balance. There is nothing to equal the Veloped. Keep the ideas coming. Thank you.
Suggestion for improvement:
A cover with a zipper for the basket so that the items taken along and after shopping, for example, are not visible.
And for the locking screws, an Allen key would be more practical than the 3 different sizes as before.
Otherwise, it's a great product.
The large wheels are so beneficial on rough ground. Trionic's documentation and delivery is "First Class" It's been a pleasure doing business with them up there in Sweden.
Ogilvie Dickson Scotland
The scratches that form on the tubular frame when the seat is pushed back are very unpleasant. An improvement would be useful.
I fully enjoy my new freedom to go anywhere.
It is stable and has maximum off-road mobility. Very important for me is the possibility to rest now and then.
I would definitely buy it again.
The cane holder is very practical.
Switching from one wheel to two wheels or vice versa is still quite difficult for me. Especially because I have to bend down to do it. Maybe I'll get the hang of it. All in all, I'm quite happy, especially on my way into town, now that the curb is not an issue for me.

The catalogue and videos online helped my choice, explaining exactly each item's capabilities with the knowledge that I could contact the company for further advice.
I set up the machine as per instructions which I found relatively simple and decided to test it over a week or so on various surfaces, from smooth tarmac to rough coastal walks.
Both my wife and I are each able to easily get the Veloped into our car… it’s very sturdy but lightweight especially when the wheels are removed, simply done.
I feel totally safe at last without my sticks, wheelchair or, at the very least a steadying arm when walking …
Upright at last! This has not been possible for several years, and I have the added ability to sit whenever and wherever necessary.
This is a quality machine, cleverly thought through and engineered, I cannot fault it, I love it.
I have COPD FEV1 23%, and thanks to the Veloped I can get out in the forest to pick mushrooms and blueberries. Walked several running tracks. Had sore muscles in the hips in the beginning. Because it's so easy to take long strides and keep the body straight. Hasn't happened in many years. Have taken bus rides, the Djurgården ferry, and walked around Skansen park. Easy to sit down for a small break. Now I can participate in most things.
The best walking aid!
The difference between my old rollator is amazing.
I am glad I took the plunge and paid the required to obtain the Tour.
Since the first day, the Veloped has transformed my life. I have a serious spinal condition that causes weakness in my legs and great difficulty in walking and Vera has helped me more than I imagined she could.
I didn’t want to look like an “old lady”, all hunched over with a typical walker – the Veloped encourages upright posture and feels supportive as you can push the seat forward over the basket and be “inside” the walking frame. This allows me to walk for fitness again, and to walk my dogs. A number of people have stopped me to say what an ingenious “rollator” it is and admire its quality and good looks.
I recently visited my daughter in Curaçao – the off-road walking conditions there are challenging – and the Veloped saw me through the walks we took with her three dogs. I was also able to go shopping and sightseeing for much longer periods of time than I have for some years, thanks to Vera’s support.
Travelling with Vera was a bit challenging but if everything is planned ahead, it’s doable. When flying, have the Veloped or its storage bag handle tagged at check-in and then fold it at the aircraft door for staff to put into the hold. You can ask for it to be tagged to be brought to the door of the aircraft at the end of the flight. I had a custom bag made for it to prevent damage (note: airlines do not care about fragile stickers so a custom bag is recommended – I suppose wrapping it in bubble wrap would protect it, too, but would be awkward to do at the aircraft door) and I spent a day before I left teaching myself how to fold the Veloped down and secure it in the said bag in under 4 minutes. This proved invaluable as I had 6 flights to take. If you are traveling alone and you would have trouble lifting 12 kilos, I would suggest booking assistance. Though I can do it myself, it was helpful to have ground staff assisting me with bagging the Veloped for every flight.
I can remove the front climbing wheel and place Vera into the back seat or rear space of our car without any trouble. If your car is very small, it might not be as easy, so check the dimensions before ordering.
I am grateful for being able to walk on uneven ground again, and am rebuilding my walking fitness – usually accompanied by my dogs.
Thanks to the team at Trionic!
The device looks good (to be envious), is well thought out and easy to assemble. What struck me:
The heavy strain on the arm muscles
- on uneven forest paths,
- on inclines (effort needed to push uphill and to hold downhill).
The front wheels have a slight tendency to the right, one can turn to the left only by overcoming a slight resistance.
Sincerely,
Dr. Werner Hill
My only negative (not hers), is that it looks to be quite heavy for her to manoeuvre in any way other than a straight line. I saw this in a trip to a shopping mall, whilst she was moving between aisles. But it is early days and maybe she will get better the more she uses it.
The Veloped allows me to improve my posture, I can walk so much better for longer. Kerbstones become so easy, and it rolls across uneven surfaces including gravel pathways, with ease (no vibration through the wrists and hands). It can be folded quickly to get through narrow doorways, very handy for cafes and shops!
Somehow, it feels so light, and it doesn’t feel like you’re pushing the Veloped, so easy to manoeuvre.
Easy convenient storage of walking stick, lock with keys, water bottle, and lights plus ???? plenty of room for shopping and personal items. So well designed!
In fact, you can sit on the 30 cm deep seat at any time, the brakes keep the Veloped perfectly stationary. The armrest and back support are very comfortable. I'm excited.
Due to its size, the use of the Veloped in trams can be problematic.
I had hoped to use it independently but it is too heavy to lift into my Kia estate car with the wheels attached. It is too awkward to fit the wheels back on when taking it out of the car. This is partly because of my disability but if I were not disabled I would not need a walker!
The wheels are heavy and do not fit easily.
Hello Mr. Kindberg
I had no idea what to expect, I had never seen the product in real life ... and then this: wow!
I just unfolded the Veloped and mounted the wheels. I'm so excited about your invention and the quality is noticeable. The wait was worth it!
About me. Two years ago, I gave my mother a so-called high-quality rollator for her 85th birthday. She thought it was 'not necessary yet and somehow embarrassing' ...
I am only 63 years old myself, but I have been aware for decades that either I will not get old or that I should then prepare myself to have the best possible life quality 'in old age'.
I have never understood why kids’ strollers are so modern and varied, while the elderly do not want to treat themselves to anything. I also like electrical aids, but only when the last remaining muscles of an elderly person no longer allow them to walk.
Now I am very curious how the many smaller obstacles can be overcome with the Veloped.
Kind regards and have a wonderful day
Hans Wagner
MY SECOND EMAIL FROM 11/06/2021
Hello Mr. Kindberg
I made my first two trips.
My anticipation was confirmed:
-Forest paths, those around the golf course and almost all obstacles could be overcome without any problems (maybe my stair climbing technique can be improved?)
-the steering technology makes fun.
- rough sections of the path are gentler to master than with my double-sprung eMTB
-The seat can easily be moved, and the Tour version is comfortable. You can take a break and enjoy nature at any time.
this allows you to walk upright in a very fast way (medium stride lengths are still suitable for athletic older people) and a bit of running is also entirely possible.
With this very sensible purchase, provision is made for maintaining my fitness in old age and thus the best possible quality of life!
Friendly greetings from Switzerland!
Hans Wagner
MY THIRD EMAIL FROM 12/06/2021
Good morning Mr. Kindberg
This morning my wife (56 years old) tried the Veloped with me. She was also immediately able to make friends with your great invention. She could easily place her walking sticks in the stick holder.
Incidentally, I met one of my direct neighbors this morning (around 80 years old). He and his wife both recently fell twice with serious consequences. They have a 'standard rollator' that they bought in case they would need it and have never used it! I tried to prove myself as a voluntary sales assistant. We'll see if they will fall in love...
I have already refined the stairs climbing technique ...
Of course, your invention and the great product developed from it deserve a very good rating from me!
Kind regards and good luck!

At the locker, the small cover is sadly not holding and slides always to the side, leaving the keyhole open.
Furthermore, I am very happy and the Veloped gives me a certain amount of independence in overcoming greater distances.
We don't want to be without our Veloped anymore. It's good to have it.
On the internet, I came across the homepage of the Swedish company Trionic. I immediately ordered the catalogue offered there and received it in 3 days.
Through my 30 years of work as a nurse, I was able to get a good overview on the variety of walking aids in Germany. I did not know the Walker and Veloped manufactured by Trionic before. The advantages of these products were clearly highlighted in the catalogue. Since the delivery and payment conditions are very accommodating for the buyer, nothing stood in the way of a purchase. In addition, due to discomfort in the spine, I have been unfortunately dependent on walking aids for several years. For this reason, I was very curious to see whether the advantages mentioned would be confirmed.
I ordered the Veloped over the Internet. The delivery was very quick. The assembly by my stepdaughter did not cause any difficulties, especially since the Veloped was almost entirely pre-assembled. The test phase could begin.
For several days I tried it alternately in the city and in the off-road mode. I was very surprised on how easy it is now to overcome bumps. You stay on track because one wheel is always in contact with the ground. A great benefit, because the spine is very relieved. The pneumatic tyres are also absorbing bumps. The pain level has been provenly reduced. I like a lot to be often out and about with my Veloped. I can fully agree with the positive reviews given here. I would like to say a big thank you to Trionic.
