The new grips fit & work perfectly. I found they were easy to install but I do have some mechanical skills.

I have owned my 12er for about six years and have completed 5 Marathons (26.2 mi) with it. I estimate I have walked nearly 3,500 miles with it and it is beginning to show some wear, thus the need for new grips.
I have a set of 14” wheels that I snap on when actually doing the marathon. Most of the rest of time I use the 12” wheels because they are somewhat easier to hoist in and out of the car. However, the 12” tires are quite worn so replacement time draws near.
The walker has made it possible for me to travel all over the world including such diverse places as the cobblestone streets of Europe, the islands of the Galápagos and the trails of Africa. It has definitely been a life changer!
I am having trouble getting the brakes properly adjusted after replacing a brake cable.

I have recently purchased a Veloped Trek, and I couldn’t be more pleased. The advice and service were both first-class, and the product is excellent. I have multiple sclerosis and walk with difficulty, aided by a cane or a wheeled walker. The Trek has opened up the trails and footpaths I used to walk before I was ill. It has so far navigated any hazard it has encountered, and I can walk far faster and further than with a cane. I cannot thank Trionic enough.

I wish I could give Trionic Trek 10 stars!
I was very impressed with the speedy delivery. It feels like it was custom-made just for me and the kitty has already claimed the front basket! It came with 2 carrying bags and the extras we bought were certainly worth the overall cost.

I miss my super strong legs, being able to walk many kilometers in forest terrain without getting tired. Being able to go for long, long walks with my dog. Being able to walk with long strides and enjoy nature.

I will never walk that fast again, but with the Veloped, I can walk a kilometer or so, and not just about 400-500 meters. I have relatively mild EDS, but after 55 the legs have deteriorated fast. I am now 58 and have begun accepting.
Without my friend the Veloped, I wouldn't have walked further than to the mailbox.

I've only had my Veloped a week, and every day I've taken small excursions around the city and the running track… After TBE and meningitis, my balance is not as it used to be, on top of that I have foot arthrodesis that hasn't healed, so in 3 years I haven't been able to take any walks. Despite wet leaves, logs and stones, I've felt completely safe on my walks.

You couldn't be more satisfied than this, goodbye to the wheelchair when walking and visiting the city.

Finally, it is possible to be active in a relaxed way again!
At the age of 54, due to a sudden illness, I went in a very short time from being an active athlete to someone who only walks unsteadily, with small, wide-legged steps and in pain. This slow and forced walking also caused me severe Achilles tendinitis, creating a vicious circle.

Since I love to walk in nature and need a means of transport to go shopping without a car, my choice immediately fell on a Veloped. For me, it's the Porsche among rollators. It is really expensive for me, but the purchase was absolutely worth it! It was very helpful that everything was delivered pre-assembled and I only had to click on the wheels. The decision to choose size L, contrary to the advice received by e-mail, was the right one, as I can select between different height settings for my build with proportionally long legs, and I feel more flexible.
After only three days to get used to it (also to the looks of the people around me), I walked 6 km, even on gravel paths! And I was blissfully happy. Finally, I can look straight ahead again without having to watch the ground and all the unevenness with every step I take. If I stumble or bend, all it takes is a reflexive firm grip and I can keep going, without the moment of shock I always had before. And without the fear of falling. Apparently, the front wheel signals to my brain in good time what the ground is like - the wheels feel it for me - so that I have fewer problems with bumps in the first place.
In the first ten days, I walked 60 km - and I notice clearly how good the extra movement is for me. Walking in nature. The feet are relieved, the Achilles tendons heal.
For shopping, the basket is enough. I come home happy instead of completely exhausted and close to tears from the exertion of walking. Thanks to the training, my gait has meanwhile improved.
The Veloped is heavy and, with 14-inch wheels, stable enough not to tip over to the side with me (1.83 m tall, 89 kg) if I lose my balance. At the same time, it is incredibly manoeuvrable so that I can get through narrow supermarket aisles, although I use the folding function at the checkouts, otherwise, I get stuck. So far, however, I have always chosen one wheel up, i.e. the lighter setting.
The weight can sometimes be a problem of strength, as many of the pavements here are very narrow and sloping, and the Veloped then pulls to one side. The brakes are a bit difficult to adjust for me with weak hands and I sometimes need several attempts, they also seem a bit unstable in terms of the material, but everything worked very well for the first 2 months.
The only real criticism is the seat, which I find uncomfortable and expected more from (I don't know how this could be designed without losing flexibility). Before buying the Veloped, I tried it out on a stool at home to decide whether I needed the comfort seat - and didn't think about the fact that the Veloped has a hard bar that presses into the small of the back. The wide band in the seat also cuts painfully into my thighs, so I can only sit on the "edge of my bottom" instead of sitting down properly. I can also barely get between the handles. How people weighing up to 150 kg are supposed to sit on it is a mystery to me. Therefore, I took the piece of foam that protects the seat in the packaging, put it in a colour-matching bag, put it in the gap of the seat - and thus made it more comfortable for me. It's perfectly adequate for short breaks and the flexibility is maintained.
Thanks to my Veloped, I dare to plan trips again. It's a challenge on public transport, but it works. I have already completed the first train journey.

Hello, Trionic!
Recommend this product review to a friend:
Back issues (spinal stenos) since many years back that strongly affected my musculoskeletal system, led to me finally making the decision to get a walker. Found Trionic's webpage online. Okay, this was certainly something I had to try!
Purchase made, and now I've had the so-called Veloped in 14 days. My walks shave gotten longer, and my total daily life is looking brighter and brighter.
The only downside to this arrangement will probably be the increased wear and tear of my shoe soles...
Kind regards,
LR

My Rolls Royce – a.k.a. Walker 12 – and me have now together undergone the ultimate test, namely the Stockholm winter 2018-2019 with snow plowing à la Stockholm municipality.
Recommend this product review to a friend:
The sidewalks and walkways have either been covered in either 10 centimeters of snow slush or ice rink-style ice with caked-in tennis balls. Pedestrians have generally preferred walking in the actual streets to be able to get around, or clamped onto the building walls for support.
But not us! We have been able to navigate the sidewalks without any problems. The mobility in the cross leads to constant ground contact with all four wheels and adding the width of the Rolls to that, there has been no risk whatsoever of slipping or falling down.
We met a fellow sister among us walker-users, in a parking lot in the wet snow. She was dragging her walker, dragging because the wet snow had built up in front of the brake clamps and made it impossible for the wheels to rotate. Thankfully, the Walker 12 has disc brakes, so anything like that could never happen. The brakes always work in all conditions.
With the dogs in tow, I have walked along Lidingöloppet – a track in Lidingö – in loose and trampled snow. It works, even though it's strenuous, but would be completely impossible with another walker. The fact that there are ball bearings on the hubs and that the wheels are relatively big is probably part of the secret. The width of the walker is probably also a help.
If I could wish for anything, it would be a bigger loading space, but one can't have everything. I have acquired a roomy sport bag which fits the size of the seat perfectly, and I can keep it there fully packed when I walk, and when I need to sit, I just lift it off. With a strap around it, it holds steady.
I am more than happy with my purchase of Walker 12. It's a lot of money, but it's not the same thing as being expensive. If I keep another 10 years – and the Rolls also keeps that long without needing repairs – it will have cost me 83 SEK a month. I am so happy that I found and had the chance of getting it.

The Veloped is the best walking aid you could have
It was a lucky shot that I found the Veloped online, I fell for it immediately. The Veloped gives the best support you could imagine, it is much better than both walking canes and crutches, you can relax when you’re walking, it rolls very easily and is easy to handle, also in crammed spaces.

It is easy to fold, and takes up only a small, like during transport.
I have now named my Veloped "Theodor my friend".
I can with all my conviction recommend the Veloped to anyone who'd need one.

Great to be able to take brisk walks with my Veloped in the green area close to my neighborhood. To get there, I pass street crossings, where the Veloped smoothly climbs up and down the curbs. Since the Veloped is easy to "fold" and load in the trunk of the car, my husband and I have ventured out to an outdoor area outside the city and walked on forest paths without having to worry about tree roots or other unevenness that I previously had difficulties with, being visually impaired. The Veloped has made my life easier and safer.
