My wife uses the Walker 12er. She has been severely disabled for years following a serious accident and was only able to participate to our walks with Nordic Walking poles as walking aids. In January 2023, after purchasing the Veloped 14er to alleviate my walking problems, which had increased massively due to Parkinson's disease, and once again being able to walk distances on off-road trails, fields and woods, my wife decided to purchase the Walker 12er after a test ride with my Veloped. She is as enthusiastic as I am. It has given us back some freedom and mobility. The ability to rest on the middle seat is an important added benefit for both of us.

What was your concern with this review?
The machine is exactly as described in the literature and on the website. It's really solid and stands up to life on a livestock farm. I doesn't often get on tarmac, it's mostly used on rough fields, farm yards and rough cart tracks. It worked perfectly, straight out of the box and I am very happy that I bought it. I have advanced Rheumatoid Arthritis and spinal stenosis, but I can get about more often and for longer than I could using sticks.

I am so happy with my veloped, it's made walking so much easier. I enjoy being in the countryside , in the woods and tracks. With the usual walker with four corner wheels I found it difficult with stones and roots and branches but the veloped just glides over them all. Full marks for the brilliant disc breaks so firm when on and easy to release. Life is fuller with my veloped.

Major benefits over rough ground
My Veloped Sport has had major benefits above & beyond my old standard rollator. Walking out in woods with the dogs no need to steer around rough areas, just push & go.

Walking over my horse's field is easier, doesn't get stuck in rough ground & Chris (horse) enjoys rubbing his face on 'Axcel'.

This walker is perfect for my height, my previous NHS rollator was too low down, being as this one can be adjusted to your correct level, I no longer get such an aching back, which in turn means I can walk further comfortably. The steering is much more controllable and the brakes are excellent. Worth every penny.

I had fallen over a couple of times with a small wheel trolley that had got stuck in gravel and jarred me off the handles
Can't see that happening now I get up and down the garden on a variety of surfaces no problem
By tying front wheels together when folded I can get it in and out of the back seat of my car (easy access sliding door not sure that would work in an.ordinary salon)
All.in all well pleased and get remarks as to how smart it looks and how much more upright and quick I am walking

This was money well spent. I us this everyday and I can go anywhere with it. I have gone on remote trails and sandy beaches. Everywhere I go people ask about this Veloped. If you want your independence back, buy one of these.
